Lord God Almighty! You have called us to be a light for Jesus, in this dark and broken world. Yet You have not left us to fulfil this call on our own!
When we have been distracted, forgive us for being tempted by the very darkness we are called to illuminate! You are our God, and You are holy.
When we have been fearful, forgive us for making light of Your power and sovereignty! You are our God, and to You is all authority in heaven and earth.
We praise You for giving us the Companion and Helper – Your awesome Spirit. Help us to shine with all boldness, knowing that You will never leave us nor forsake.
We ask all this in Jesus’ name, amen!
