Our Father in Heaven,
This Christmas we shall remember your rescue mission for mankind. A rescue that was not based on human power or military might. A rescue that cost the life of Your one and only Son.
Forgive us for choosing darkness over light. Forgive us for professing to love you with our lips, while giving our hearts to things that are detestable in your eyes.
Forgive us for not doing the good we want, while instead doing the evil we do not want. Who will deliver us from this body of death?
Jesus is our Deliverer! Through Him we are delivered from the domain of darkness and transferred to the kingdom of light. To Him we give the highest praise and honour. In His name we pray, Amen.
