Heavenly Father, we confess how lightly we take our relationship with You. And how quickly we forget our blood-bought privileges, as Your children.
Too often, we behave like orphans. Like little children with no home. With no resources. With no protection. With no options. Who will help us? Who can we turn to?
We have every spiritual blessing in Christ – yet we feel cornered! We are seated with Christ at Your right hand – yet we say, “If only I had a listening ear!”
In Christ, we have a Brother, a Father, and a family – yet we feel so alone. Lord, forgive us. Forgive us for looking to ourselves, believing we only have ourselves.
Come Spirit of Adoption! Lead us to our Abba, our Father. Help us to rejoice afresh, in our adoption. We pray all this in Jesus’ name, amen.
