Father,
We have all sinned. We have all fallen short of Your glory. Yet You gave Your only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
In our arrogance, we often think we deserve to be saved. We fail to see the depth of our own depravity. We minimize our own sins while amplifying the sins of the people we ought to love.
Forgive us for cheapening Your grace as a license to sin. Forgive us for turning to counterfeit gods to save ourselves instead. Forgive us for thinking so little of our eternal life that we live as if there is no tomorrow.
Behold, Christ alone is our salvation. We will trust Him for He is our strength and our song. We worship Him and praise Him. In His mighty name we pray. Amen.
