Heavenly Father, we confess that we often fail to live by faith in Jesus. We often forget that we are Your beloved children.
We are quick to stray from You. To live as though we are orphans without the inheritance of the King of the Universe.
Instead of trusting in You, the One who is eternal, we have placed our faith in fleeting, temporal things. Forgive us, Lord, for not standing firm in the truth of who we are in You.
You have given us not only an eternal inheritance but have also chosen, adopted, and loved us dearly. Since we are heirs of the promise, we must walk by faith in Christ.
Help us, Lord, to keep our eyes on You, trusting in Your promises. Holy Spirit, intervene in our hearts, reminding us of who we are in Christ and leading us to live in that truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
