Heavenly Father, we confess how we have not worshipped You with our whole heart.
We have given our heart of worship to our spouses, friends, material possessions, celebrity idols and entertainment first. We have found ourselves pouring our time and energy on them – Losing the heart to worship You with whatever is left in us.
Forgive us, Lord. How we choose to use our voices or hands to worship Your creation rather than to worship You, the Creator. Forgive us, we found our hearts bowing down to things that we deem to be more “worthy” than You.
Lord, intervene in our lives, break every idol that captures our hearts more than You. Renew our hearts to be fully devoted to You. Help us see that nothing in this world deserves our worship but You.
We pray all this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
