Father,
We come before You this morning to give You thanks! You are our God and we are Your people.
We give thanks to You for the unbelievable reversal of our fortune. Once we were dead in transgression and sins, following the prince of the power of the air as sons of disobedience. But You turned us into followers of Your Son and gave us eternal life.
Once we rebelled against You as Your enemies, insisting to be our own masters, but You delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of Your beloved Son, in whom we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins.
Once we were slaves to sin, gratifying the desires of the flesh, doing evil deeds, increasing our wages of death. But You, being rich in mercy, set us free in Jesus, purifying us through His blood so that we may be presented to You holy and blameless.
We are filled with inexpressible gratitude that You would turn Your enemies into Your beloved children at such a high cost. We worship and praise You in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
