Father,
Your word tells us that love is patient and kind. You have treated us with long-suffering patience and life-transforming kindness.
Yet we find ourselves being impatient over trivial things. We expect kindness but all too often our tone, facial expressions and words are way too unkind.
Forgive us, oh God. Forgive us for failing to treat people created in Your image with love and kindness. Forgive us for even justifying our sinful ways.
We pray for the fruit of Your Spirit in us to grow in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We ask all this in the name of Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
