Christian Education (Guided learning)

In Agape Baptist Church, Christian Education (CE) serves the purpose of spiritual formation and growth as a disciple of Christ.

Specifically, CE aims for 3 areas of growth:

a. Understanding of God’s Word
b. Appreciation of Biblical doctrine
c. Practical application of God’s truths

These courses aim not just to renew the mind, but also to shape our affections and motivations, leading us to love the gospel and live gospel-centered lives.

The courses on this page involve guided learning with the help of an instructor and are conducted in person, unless otherwise stated.

Let's Talk About AI (Looking at AI through the Gospel Lens)

The rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been one of the most significant developments in 2025.

Some claim that AI is going to usher humanity into a golden age of unprecedented ease and prosperity. Others fear AI will spiral into an apocalyptic future – even the extinction of mankind.

How should we Christians think about AI? How should we approach the use of AI tools for our lives, for our ministries, for our work?

More importantly, how does the Gospel shape the way we understand and engage with AI?

Come and let’s talk about AI together! (Just come! No registration needed.)

Format: Short teaching segments + Discussion in small groups/whole class

Date: Sun, 1 Feb 2026

Time: 130pm-3pm

Venue: The Oasis in Church (1 Dorset Road)

Let's Talk about AI Companionship | Chatting and Relating with Chatbots

Have you ever chatted at length with a chatbot? Do you know anyone who does so extensively? One of the most significant trends in AI today is the rise of ‘AI Companions’ – AI chatbots that are specifically designed to engage users in human-like interactions, offering emotional support, friendship, intimacy, and even more.

Why are so many attracted to ‘AI Companions’? What do people find good about it? Are there any dangers for the lonely in seeking companionship this way? How does the gospel help us to think about this topic?

Come and let’s talk about ‘AI Companionship’ together! (Just come ready to talk! No registration needed.)

Date: Sun, 28 June 2026

Time: 1.15 pm- 2.45pm

Venue: The Oasis in Church (Level 3), 1 Dorset Road
