Human relations are fraught with challenges and brokenness. While some of us are blessed with loving relationships, there are still too many relationships in families, churches, communities and nations which are filled with more hate than love.
What is the solution?
Conventional wisdom teaches us to write off our enemies or even plot against them. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus challenges Christians to counter hate with love. He teaches His followers to display God’s radical love for mankind which includes loving our enemies.
