Lord of infinite glory and worth. As Your Church, we are called not only to bring You glory – but also to reflect Your glory.
Yet You fashioned this Church with such differences! Different cultures, different social status, different generations – how should such a diverse Church reflect Your glory?
But this is Your Wisdom. For where sinful Man is ultimately divisive, Your gospel ultimately unites! So unite us, O Lord – especially across the generations!
Forgive us for reinforcing any kind of “generational gap”. Forgive us, young or old, for requiring the other generation to fit our mould before extending friendship!
What greater difference could exist, than between a Holy God and sinful Man? Yet in Christ, You have shown us friendship and love. Make Him the glue and the glory of this congregation. In His name we pray, amen.
