Father,
Through the union with Christ Jesus, we enjoy an intimate relationship with Him being the source of our life, our blessedness, and our salvation.
Yet we don’t consider that precious union as the glue that binds every child of God to Jesus. We focus on superficial differences of every kind. We keep adding requirements before we fully embrace others as one of us.
Forgive us for professing to love You but failing to love one another. Forgive us for succumbing to discrimination in any way, shape, or form. Forgive us for justifying our disobedience rather than approaching You in humble repentance.
Help us O Lord, to lift our eyes to behold Jesus. Would You give us courage and strength to bring down all the walls for the sake of unity in the gospel. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
